Randy Shelton

Randy Shelton is the founder and head performance specialist of High Voltage Fitness, a premier fitness and training facility in San Diego. He has over 25 years of experience in sports science and performance enhancement, working with elite basketball programs such as the San Diego State Aztecs and the L.A. Clippers.

Shelton started his career as a strength and conditioning coach for the SDSU men’s and women’s basketball teams in 2010, where he coached and trained some of the best players in school history, including Kawhi Leonard, Brandon Heath, Malachi Flynn, Jamaal Franklin, Xavier Thames, Mohammed Abukar, Marcus Slaughter, DJ Gay, Jalen McDaniels, Courtney Clements, and Chelsea Hopkins. He helped the Aztecs achieve multiple conference titles and NCAA tournament appearances, under the guidance of legendary head coaches Steve Fisher, Beth Burns, and Brian Dutcher.

In 2019, Shelton joined the LA Clippers as a performance specialist, where he reunited with Leonard and continued to support the players with his expertise and innovation. He helped the Clippers reach the Western Conference Finals in the 2020 and 2021 NBA Playoffs, as well as achieve the best regular season record in franchise history in the 2020-21 season.

At High Voltage Fitness, Shelton offers personalized coaching and training programs for athletes of all levels and sports. He uses cutting-edge technology and methods to enhance the athletes’ physical and mental performance, as well as to prevent and recover from injuries. He hosts Aztecā€™s and other NBA players every off-season, helping them improve their skills and conditioning. He also works with clients from various backgrounds and goals, ranging from high school and college athletes to fitness enthusiasts and professionals.

Shelton holds a degree in exercise and nutritional sciences from San Diego State University. He is known for his expertise, professionalism, and ability to foster productive relationships with athletes, coaches, and colleagues. He is one of the most respected and sought-after performance specialists in San Diego.
